Living in the Dump

It’s hard enough just earning a living. We work longer hours than ever. When adjusted for inflation and cost of living, we make less than our parents and grandparents did. Who has the time to research all the news coming their way? Why does it does it feel like everyone is so angry all of the time for reasons they can’t fully articulate? Why are the most extreme politicians being elected despite nothing ever changing for the better?

It’s because we have entered the Garbage Apocalypse. Our news is garbage. Social media is complete garbage. Every year we pay more for shrinking quantities of garbage food. Rent raises for garbage apartments. All the while our garbage leaders promise relief while stuffing their pockets.

The good news is that we don’t have to get buried in it. To be honest, it doesn’t look good right now. But we can all do our part. Become more informed. Try to see through the endless distractions and better understand what’s happening. Make better decisions about who gets to lead us.
